INVESTMENT INDUSTRY'S HIGHLY REGARDED CFA PROGRAM TO CHANGE
A Series of Changes Required For Current and Future Candidates

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., April 1, 2007 – CFA Institute today announced a series of changes in the rigorous Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) program.
Currently, to earn the CFA charter, described by many to be the “gold standard” for investment professionals, candidates must sequentially pass three six-hour exams that are widely considered to be among the most challenging in the investment profession. Among the changes are: a) changing the number of tests from three to four; b) administering the second test twice per year instead of once; and c) adding additional ethics requirements to each test.
“The changes are really just an evolution of the CFA program to accommodate increasingly complex capital markets and the challenges of globalizing the CFA Program,” said Robert Johnson, CFA, Ph.D., managing director of the CFA and CGIPS Programs Division. “The CFA program has required only three tests since its inception more than 40 years ago. The body of required knowledge for a finance professional has grown exponentially during this period so it’s reasonable to require one more test. This added requirement is at least partly offset by allowing candidates to take level 2 in December. A candidate can still finish the program in 3 years just as candidates could for most of that 40 years.”
The new ethics component has not been determined as yet but could consist of some requirement outside of the usual testing procedures. Dr. Johnson explained, “CFA Institute’s most important mission is increasing public confidence in capital markets through a program of ethics required of our charterholders. It would not be unreasonable to require candidates to write an essay prior to receiving the charter on some timely ethics topic. I can envision a candidate writing an essay, for example, on their thoughts on trading on material, non-public information. Adding this essay component would dovetail nicely with our recent increase in the experience requirement.” It is currently not clear whether these changes would require a vote from the membership of CFA Institute.

4.就算L2ㄧ年考兩次,L3和L4也是一年考ㄧ次,最快
也是2年才能考過?
兩年比以前三年快了

小弟是假設已經考到L1的情況下,之後所花的時間:
1.以前:每年考ㄧ次,所以要花2年
2.現在:假設12月考過L1,隔年6月考L2=0.5年
隔年6月過L2,再隔一年的6月過L3=1年
總計1.5年
3.未來:假設6月考過L1,12月考L2=0.5年
12月過L2,隔年的6月考L3=0.5年
隔年的6月過L3,再隔一年6月過L4=1年
結論:在(1)和(3)的情況下,最快也要2年....Q_Q

依據既往不咎原則，應該不用吧
2.已經註冊的人,是否要考到L4?或是到L3即可?
應該有日出條款吧!
3.考4次每次考試費是否會降低?
通貨永遠是膨脹的，降價不可能吧!
